Despite economic improvements in Mozambique, many residents struggle to find decent housing. Since it began work in the country five years ago, Habitat has built 52 houses with families in need.

Habitat World - March 2005
Former President Jimmy Carter and his wife, Rosalynn, helped thousands of volunteers build 150 houses in Mexico in October 2004. In June, they will travel to Michigan for the Jimmy Carter Work Project 2005.
