Thrivent Builds with Habitat for Humanity

About the partnership
Thrivent Builds with Habitat for Humanity is a multi-year, multi-million dollar partnership between Thrivent Financial for Lutherans and Habitat for Humanity International.

Thrivent Builds has brought together the financial, volunteer and advocacy resources of Thrivent Financial and the resources and capacities of hundreds of Habitat for Humanity’s local affiliates to build more than 2,000 homes since 2005.

Thrivent’s 2010 commitment to Habitat
In December 2009, volunteers gathered in Twin Cities, Minnesota to begin work on the 2,001st Thrivent Builds home.

The home signified the launch of Thrivent Financial’s 2010 commitment of $15 million to Habitat for Humanity. The funds will be awarded to Habitat affiliates for the construction of 181 more homes in 37 states next year.

And see firsthand the power of your membership in action as you build hope by building homes. Your enthusiasm and personal leadership skills can be the catalyst to help your church, family and friends experience a life-changing trip!

Trip costs
Thrivent Financial for Lutherans benefit members receive funding support for trip costs. Benefit members are those age 16 and older who have applied for and been accepted into membership and who also own Thrivent Financial for Lutherans insurance or annuities. A donation will also be made to the Habitat for Humanity host program on behalf of Thrivent Financial members who participate in a volunteer work trip.
