Habitat for Humanity International Compensated Global Assignees -- Habitat for Humanity Int'l 1

Habitat for Humanity International
Compensated Global Assignees

Habitat for Humanity International is seeking qualified candidates who are committed to Habitat for Humanity's work of providing families with simple, decent shelter. Although assignment terms may vary, Global Assignee positions typically are for three-year periods. Positions in most countries require a willingness to communicate and affirm the Christian roots and principles of Habitat for Humanity.

Global Assignees provide expertise to community, national or area-wide programs. Therefore, demonstrated experience in group facilitation and leadership, the ability to work with minimal direct supervision, flexibility, problem-solving skills, international experience, language skills and the ability to live in another culture are factors in the selection process. A match between program needs and an individual’s experience determines selection.

Compensation for expatriates in Global Assignment positions provides a package commensurate with the applicant's education and experience and the level of the position within the organization. Compensation includes a monthly salary, housing allowance, relocation allowance, pension, education allowance for dependent children and other benefits. Cost of living adjustments are provided as appropriate.

Extended Global Assignees are usually senior management positions of five years or longer requiring extensive experience in the geographic area of placement.

Thank you for considering employment with Habitat for Humanity International!

Interested in volunteering with Habitat for Humanity overseas?

Applicants located in a country with an HFHI program may also contact their local affiliate or national organization for information regarding employment or volunteer opportunities. Contact information for those offices is available at www.habitat.org/intl/. Some national organizations and local affiliates have their own Web sites.

Please investigate our International Volunteer Program (six- to 12-month commitment) or maybe a Global Village volunteer vacation (one- to two-week commitment) would be right for you.
